PURCHASE, SHIPPING
If you're considering purchasing one of my handmade Damascus steel knives, you may be wondering, "What's the next step?"
Don't worry, it's easy!
You'll receive a handmade Chef's knife, complete with a customized "Saya" blade guard. This guard is made from wood and is sometimes crafted from the same type of wood as the handle, cut from the same log. This will keep both your knife and fingers safe, as you don't want to toss your prized new knife in a kitchen drawer.
Additionally, you have the option to purchase a beautiful gift or storage box for your knife. For certain outdoor knives, handmade leather sheaths are also available, although these do come with an additional charge.
As an example, take a look at this Chef's knife "Victoria" with its accompanying blade guard and optional handmade box (Feather Damascus steel, Wenge handle and blade guard, Kauri and Wenge box):
After we have agreed on the knife you want and you have reviewed all the information I have sent you, you can place your binding order and pay me. Payment is simple and can be done by bank transfer (whether within NZ or internationally; I will provide my banking details) or through PayPal (which allows you to use your credit card for a single transaction without subscribing, although there is a 5% transaction fee on top of your price).
I ship anywhere and use NZ Courier Post or NZ Post International. The shipping cost will be at cost and I will inform you of the amount. As soon as possible, I will provide you with a tracking number.
Alternatively, you can pick up your new knife in person from my studio in Raglan, NZ. Please make an appointment before arriving. While I don't have EFTPOS, on-the-spot banking transfers or cash are perfectly fine.
HOW MUCH?
My collection of Chef's knives typically range between NZ$500 and NZ$600 (as of March 2024).
